The M/V Carina is a 64 GT multi-purpose vessel. She has a 40 ton capacity cargo hold served by a 1 ton boom.
She is ideally suited as an “on-scene command post” vessel, with berthing space, full galley and communications equipment.
Under RJM personnel, Carina has seen service in the US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, US East Coast, NYS Barge Canal, Lake Ontario and St Lawrence River .
Carina is ideally suited for long-haul towing, as well as salvage operations. Her most recent salvage job was a 60 foot tug and 110 foot barge aground on Lake Ontario. Working with the Maple Grove, both vessels were rescued and safely re-delivered to their owners. RJ Marine Associates was then contracted to complete the tow to its final destination.
