The tug Abaco is the newest addition to the RJ Marine Fleet. She is an ex US Army Corps of Engineers tug, built in San Diego . She spent her whole career in Buffalo New York , tending dredges and towing barges.
Abaco is an ST class tug, 45' long, with over 400 HP. She is ideally suited to short and long range towing, and with only a 5 foot draft, can get into some tight spots. She is fully equipped with hawsers, salvage pumps and all the expected equipment for a towing and salvage vessel.
Abaco is currently undergoing a face lift (wash, chip and paint!) at the RJ Marine Yard in Clayton. We are excited about her, and look forward to putting her to work.
